June 2019 Activity: Milky Way Photography with Duane and Mark

Please come for a “night out with the boys” – the club’s own Duane Bazzel and Mark Ochenduszko invite you to join them for a summer evening photographing the Milky Way at Cuyamaca Lake on Saturday, June 29th, 2019.

June 2019 Photo Quest: Silhouettes

Since photography itself is a flat rendition, the silhouette, defined as “a two-dimensional representation of the outline of an object, filled in with black (or another color)”, is perhaps one of the creative expressions that comes most easily to photography, and – who would have guessed it – the theme for our monthly photo quest in June 2019 is: Silhouettes.

March 2019 Activity: Los Penasquitos Canyon Hike

Join us for our March 2019 photographic activity – we’re going for a hike in the riparian woodlands of Los Penasquitos Canyon Preserve with Photo Section vice-president Alexander S. Kunz. Trails at the preserve wind through a beautiful canopy of oaks and sycamores, and along the creek that forms quiet pools and ponds here and there.
