Lewis Surrey is a photographer based in Encinitas, California, near San Diego. Lewis specializes in weather photography. He regularly goes storm chasing in the midwest and Arizona, as much for the weather events surrounding the storms as for the tornadoes and the lightning. But oftentimes just taking a look around wherever he is will result in a photo op. Lewis’ work has been shown in galleries in Los Angeles, Laguna Beach, San Diego, New York, Miami, London, and Tokyo. His work has appeared in art and photography magazines, online publications, and on local and National television.
The Photo Section of the Sierra Club San Diego Chapter began in 1984 and has grown to be among the largest photo clubs in San Diego County. Our members are artists, travelers, humanitarians, and conservationists. We support most genres of photography and welcome new members to our group.
Photo Section meetings are held once a month between January and November, with additional club activities throughout the year. For more information, please visit our club calendar page.
