Our June 2018 photo quest was “I See a Pattern Here!” and the submissions from our members did not disappoint. Thanks a lot everyone for taking part in the photo quest once more! Here is the gallery with all submitted photos:

June is here and so is the next photo quest for our members! This month the theme is:
I see a pattern here!
You can take this anywhere from a free interpretation (tell a story with your photo that involves a pattern!) to literally looking for patterns – and in a close-up or a larger frame too of course. Patterns. The possibilities are endless!
Our photo quest in May was themed “Speed” and here is the gallery with photos that show how our members interpreted the theme in their photos.
Our Lightroom workshops with the club’s own Lightroom tutor and vice president Alexander S. Kunz are back. This first workshop of the year is focused solely on organizing photos in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom Classic CC. The workshop will help you stay on top of your photo organization and workflow so that you’ll never lose track again.
On the Saturday following our monthly meeting (featuring Monica Royal in May), we get together for a photographic activity. In May, we’re visiting the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum in Vista. Have a look at our calendar for 2018 to find out about future meetings and activities ahead of time!
You are invited to the May 2018 Meeting of the San Diego Photo Club on Thursday, May 17th, 2018. Our main presenter this month is Monica Royal. She was originally scheduled to be our presenter in January 2018 but had to cancel due to illness. We’re thrilled that we were able to re-schedule her for our May meeting!
It’s time for another monthly photo quest and this month’s theme is SPEED. Does it make your creative juices flow already? 🙂 Think of all the ways you can express speed in a photograph – you could go for a “speedy” subject of course, but you can also employ camera techniques like panning with a slow shutter speed, maybe combined with rear-curtain flash, or even a long exposure.
Our April photo quest theme was “Spring is in the air” and here is the gallery of submissions. Thanks to everyone who participated and went out to make a fresh new photo for the quest, we hope you had fun! 🙂
