It’s time for another monthly photo quest and this month’s theme is SPEED. Does it make your creative juices flow already? 🙂 Think of all the ways you can express speed in a photograph – you could go for a “speedy” subject of course, but you can also employ camera techniques like panning with a slow shutter speed, maybe combined with rear-curtain flash, or even a long exposure.
Our April photo quest theme was “Spring is in the air” and here is the gallery of submissions. Thanks to everyone who participated and went out to make a fresh new photo for the quest, we hope you had fun! 🙂
Some photos that our members made during our visit to the San Diego Zoo (our April 2018 activity).

April is here and it’s time for a new monthly photo quest for our members. Temperatures are rising, the sun is shining, hills are green, bushes and shrubs in bloom, trees growing new leaves, wildflowers are out – that’s right, this month the theme is:
Spring is in the air!
Our photo quest for March was “Tide Pools” and as usual, here’s the gallery with the photos that participants submitted, without any ranking, just for fun – take a look!
On March 17th 2018 our club met at the Motor Transport Museum in Campo – the weather was not very cooperative that day, but five of us braved the elements and had photographic fun with the old decaying vehicles in the yard, and in the shop were they are restored.
Every month we have a planned activity on the third Saturday (following our monthly meeting on the third Thursday – you can see all meeting and activity details on our calendar page). In March, we’re heading to the Motor Transport Museum (MTM) in Campo, guided by long-time club member Jim McGinn.
You are invited to the March 15 meeting of the San Diego Photo Club featuring portrait photographer Siobhan Gazur.
